Multilingual and multi-talented. A certified simultaneous interpreter, she has studied at the Sorbonne, in England, and in Catalonia. An experienced organizer of trips and language exchange groups, she now feels almost at home in Gagny. "I want to strengthen European unity and understanding. International encounters provide immunity against totalitarian 'ethnic' ideologies, and personal contact with others also allows one to get to know oneself better. A well-understood patriotism (not nationalism) values one's own heritage but doesn't require the denigration of those who think or feel differently."
